Scania DC13 143 148 141 4X2 6X2R GRS905 G P R S series 4 button remote shell

This hight quality 4 button remote shell suits Scania truck remote used with a bunch of Scania trucks including DC13 143 148 141 4X2 6X2R GRS905 R-series S-series G-series P-series.

The shell is not OEM and is designed slightly differenty to the original remote shells. The buttons on this sell are plastic and are not attached to an outer skin like the original remote.

This does tend to make them last longer than the original remote shells.

PLEASE NOT THE MICRO SWITCHES USED ON THE ORIGINAL PCB ARE VERY DELICATE - PLEASE TAKE GREAT CARE WHEN OPENING THE ORIGINAL REMOTE SHELL

before you attempt to open the shell on your original remote - remove the battery from the back. To do this pop out the round part with the Scania logo. The CR2430 battery is under this section.

To swap over the PCB from you original remote you will first have to remove the top part of the case. Once removed this allows you to slide out the central part of the remote. You may need to gently pry the sides of the V shaped section to allow the central section to slide out.

The front and back sections of the remote case will now separate.

At this pioint it is a good idea to take some photos with your phone of where the battery contacts are located and how they are attached, as you will need to swap both battery contacts into the new case and secure them to the locating lugs by melting the top of the lug over the contact using a soldering iron.

Take your time doing them and make sure you take a good look at how they should sit as they are very fiddley and if not placed correctly your remote will not work.

Once these are fitted to the new shell you can re-assemble the remote and insert the battery to test.
