Hyundai i20 & i30 3 button flip key shell only - NO ELECTRONICS

Why replace your entire remote FLIP key just because the case or shell has broken away from the key blade. Here we offer you a top quality replacement for your Hyundai 3 button remote flip key shell.

WHILE A VERY SIMILAR SHELL WAS USED WITH A NUMBER OF KIA MODELS - YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS KEY BLADE IS DIFFERENT. WE HAVE MANAGED TO SWAP OVER THE KIA BLADE BUT THIS IS TRICKY AND TAKES A LITTLE EXTRA TIME.

THE KEY BLADE IN THIS SHELL IS MILLED OUT OR CUT OUT UP THE CENTRE OF THE BLADE AND IS REFERRED TO AS WAVE CUT OR LASER CUT. THE KIA VERSION IS A MORE TRADITIONAL KEY CUT ALONG BOTH EDGES.

As long as your remote control module still works, you can have the blade of this key cut to match your existing key and insert the remote module and transponder chip and you are up and running again. Please take great care when removing the PCB and transponder chip as if you damage them you will not be able to start your car.

There are cheaper shells on the market but we have tested many and find these ones to be the best as they fit firmly and use a screw to do the final secure. We also use a plastic contact cement to seal the edges so that the key stays together

If you come into our East Victoria Park shop we will be happy to cut the key, swap over your case and test your battery, while you wait. It is always best to have the car present when getting the key cut so it can be properly tested. 

WE CHARGE $55 TO CUT THE KEY, SWAP OVER THE TRANSPONDER & PCB, TEST BATTERY AND PCB TO ENSURE IT IS TRANSMITTING CORRECT. ALL OF THIS IS DONE AT OUR EAST VICTORIA PARK SHOP IN PERTH.

PLEASE ALLOW APPROX 20-30 MINUTES FOR THIS SERVICE AND BRING THE CAR SO WE CAN TEST THE KEY CUTTING TO ENSURE A SMOOTH OPERATION OF THE NEW KEY

If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the remote module and transponder chip into the new shell and you are up and running.

Your original Hyundai flip key will be glued together where as this shell features a screw for added firmness. We do advise that you use some glue around the edges of the shell when re-assembling it to ensure a firm fit.
