WHILE A VERY SIMILAR SHELL WAS USED WITH A NUMBER OF HYUNDAI MODELS - YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS KEY BLADE IS DIFFERENT AND SO IT IS VITAL YOU CHECK THAT YOUR KEY BLADE MATCHES THIS ONE BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER.

THIS KEY IS MILLED OUT ALONG THE CENTRE OF THE BLADE WHILE THE OTHER HYUNDAI FLIP KEYS THAT LOOKS THE SAME WILL HAVE A KEY BLADE THAT IS CUT ALONG BOTH OUTSIDE EDGES .

As long as your remote control module still works, you can have the blade of this key cut to match your existing key and insert the remote module and transponder chip and you are up and running again.

If you come into our East Victoria Park shop we will be happy to cut the key, swap over your case and test your battery, while you wait. It is always best to have the car present when getting the key cut so it can be properly tested for smooth operation in doors and ignition.

Please note that the dimensions shown under the DATA SHEET tab are of the flip key when the blade is folded in and should be used as a guide only.

If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the remote module and transponder chip into the new shell and you are up and running.

Your original Hyundai flip key will only be glued together where as this shell features a screw for added firmness. We do advise that you use some contact glue around the edges of the shell when re-assembling it to ensure a firm fit. Great care should be taken when taking your old key apart so as to not damage the circuit board or transponder chip inside it.

There are many cheap shells available online that may look similar, but this one here is made by JMA, who are one of the leading producers of key blanks in the world. This shell is made to a very high standard and the machining of the key blade is very accurate. We regularly have people bring in keys that they have purchased on eBay only to find that the blade is no machined to the correct dimensions or the circuit board does not fit well in the shell etc.

Even 0.01mm difference in the dimensions of the key blade can make it not fit correctly and so not work correctly when cut.
