Holden VE Commodore 3 button flip key case replacement

We know it can be very frustrating when your key breaks or falls apart all the time. You don't need to worry or think that you must replace your entire flip-key though.

Here we offer you a top quality replacement flip-key case so that you can transfer your remote circuit board into this new case and re-attach it to your key part. Once the key part is cut to match your original you will need to swap over the transponder chip inside the head of the key so that the car will start.

Button symbols on this case are - LOCK - UNLOCK - BOOT on the front and red PANIC button on the back. The case also included the metal end to which you attach your key ring.

To separate the remote part from the key part, place a flat blade screw driver in the slot across the back of the remote. Gently press it down and twist and the 2 sections will come apart. 

Now if you look at the end that was inside the key part you will see a small 5 mm wide slot. Again carefully place a small to medium flat blade screw driver in this slot and twist. This will lift the button pad off the rest of the remote.

It is always a good idea to test the battery as you have the remote open anyway. This can be done using a multi-meter if you have one. 

The key part is what is commonly called laser cut and is milled out to match your original, Most goot quality key cutting shops will have a machine to do this.

The sizes shown on the Data Sheet tab are for the flip key when folded and so do not include the length of the key blade when extended or folded out.

The change over is pretty easy to do yourself or come into our shop in East Victoria Park and we will swap them over for you, test the battery, clean the circuit board and check that the transmitter is functioning correctly afterwards. We will cut the key and transfer the transponder chip. This usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.
