Holden Astra TS, Vectra JR JS & Zafira TT 2 button fixed blade key remote case replacement

We know it can be very frustrating when the button pad on your key crumbles and so it is difficult to press the button to lock or unlock the car. Also have holes in the outer shell of the remote leaves it open to liquid or dirt getting in and causing it to fail completely, costing you far more money.

You don't need to worry or think that you must replace your entire remote.

Here we offer you a top quality replacement remote case so that you can transfer your remote circuit board into this new case and re-attach it to your key part.

Button symbols on this case are - LOCK &  UNLOCK. The symbols used on this case are the European style - 2 parallel lines for lock and one straight one angled line for unlock.

The remote section can be separated from the key part by placing a flat blade screw driver in the slot in the centre of the back of the key and gently twisting. The remote part should now slide out of the key part.

Once the remote part is separated from the key part you can open the remote again using a thin flat blade screw driver to gently prise the 2 sides apart. Take note of the orientation of the square circuit board in the shell so that you place it correctly in the new shell ensuring the buttons line up with the correct spot in the case.

There is a delicate red rubber seal that goes between the front and back sections. Handle this with care as you want to make sure the remote case is well sealed preventing any liquids from entering it.

It is always a good idea to test the battery as you have the remote open anyway. This can be done using a multi-meter if you have one. You must take great care when removing the batter as the battery hold is only soldered to the circuit board and this is the most common repair we do in our shop re-soldering the broken battery holders. 

The change over is pretty easy to do yourself or come into our shop in East Victoria Park and we will swap them over for you, test the battery, clean the circuit board and check that the transmitter is functioning correctly afterwards.

We can also re-solder buttons or battery holders to the circuit board if needed.
