Chrysler 4 button remote key button pad only - small button version

This type of Chrysler key is pretty common and can also be used with some Jeep & Dodge models. Suitable for the 4 button Chrysler keys with a boot release and panic button.

There is another 4 button Chrysler key with larger buttons that are also a slightly different shape, please take a careful look at the photo to make sure this pad matches what you have in your key now.

Don't replace your entire key just because the button pad is damaged. Here we offer you a top quality replacement button pad for your remote key. Having holes in the button pad can allow dirt and liquids to get inside your remote key and these things are definitely not good for the key's electronics. Replacing the damaged button pad will protect your circuit board from further damage and save you a lot of money in the long run.

Simply remove the old pad from your remote key and insert this new one to make your key look as good as new and ensure no more foreign objects such as sand, dirt or liquids can get in through the holes in the buttons.

This kit also included a new plastic layer with black spots on it. These black spots are contact pads and these act as buttons to make your remote work. When you look at the circuit board you will see a series of lines where the button points are. There are gaps between these lines and so when the contact pad is pressed down it bridges those gaps and completes the circuit in a similar way to how a mechanical type micro switch does when you press it down. 

It is important to place the plastic piece on a clean circuit board with the bubble side facing upward. To clean the board use only PCB cleaner and make sure no battery is connected to the board if you are going to clean it with PCB cleaner. Allow at least 20 minutes for PCB cleaner to evaporate completely before reattaching the battery.

The kit includes the black rubber button pad and clear plastic layer with domed black contact pads as shown in the photos and is easy to do yourself or come into our shop and we will swap them over for you, with a free battery test included.
