This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This generic remote key looks like the Toyota keys but is not a Toyota product and we make no claim that it is. These keys have a blank circuit until we input the codes to match your existing remote using special equipment. To do this we need to first identify what remote you have and this is definitely easiest to do in our shop with your old key present. If that is not possible we can do it using the vehicle year and model along with the VIN plate information.
