Inside most modern car keys are 2 important elements, the central locking remote and a transponder chip which holds the information for the immobiliser. This transponder chip can either be a separate item or part of the circuit board.
Generally when the transponder chip is separate to the remote circuit board the 2 items are coded to the car in 2 stages, but when the transponder chip is integrated into the circuit board the two elements are coded to the vehicle at one time using a single process.
This type of NB Series flip key is used for those types of keys and there are a selection of NB remotes depending on the type of transponder used and within those there may be a few styles of each to choose from.
This flip key here has 4 buttons with LOCK - UNLOCK - BOOT - PANIC
The dimensions given are for the body of the flip key with the key blade folded away.
To be certain you get the correct key it is always best if you bring in the original so we can check it against what is in the database for the year and model of vehicle. We will then input the correct remote and transponder information to the blank key circuit board and code it to your vehicle.
The price quoted here is for a complete key including cutting the key blade and programming to your vehicle where you have a working key. Sadly if you do not have a key at all for the vehicle we cannot help you.
This service is carried out at our shop in East Victoria Park W.A. and will usually take around 30-45 minutes. Please call and book a time to bring in your vehicle.
