This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This genuine 3 button Mazda smart key can be used with a number of Mazda models as long as the orignal key has the same Model SKE13E-01.

This type of smart key can also be called a prox key or proximity key. People often refer to this type of remote key as being used for key-less start as you just push the button to start the car.

The information in this table is intended to be used as a guide only. Your key must have 3 buttons and must have the matching Model & CMIIT ID (see below) to be compatible with this one.

The vital bit of information which must match is MODEL and the number of buttons on the remote.

This type of smart key can only be coded using specialist diagnostic equipment connected to the vehicle. 

We can do this for you at our East Victoria Park shop or you can have it done by your local licensed locksmith, mechanic or auto electrician.

This key is supplied with a battery fitted and the type of battery used is available to order under compatible items.
