As with all Autowatch systems you must have the 5 digit over-ride code to program the new touch key to the immobiliser.
If you cannot find the security card or there is not a sticker in your vehicle owners manual, it can be found on the the immobiliser module (usually hidden somewhere under the dash). Check out the attached photos for examples of what you are looking for.
Once found remove the outer protecting case (if fitted) by unscrewing the four screws in each corner (which can be hidden by plastic inserts), once the cover is removed locate the sticker which is usually found on the plastic surround of the smaller of the two large wiring plugs. You will find the five digit code, the model number and a date code printed on the sticker.
To confirm if you have located the correct over-ride pin code - follow these instructions:
1. Wait for the alarm to immobilise itself - i.e. the LED flashes slowly
2. Turn the ignition On and the LED should stay on solid (not flashing)
3. Turn the ignition to OFF, the LED will flash, count the same number of flashes as the first digit of the over-ride pin code then turn the ignition back to ON.
4. Turn the ignition back to OFF and count the same number of flashes as the 2nd digit of the pin code, then turn the ignition to ON and so on until you have entered all 5 digits of the code.
5. If the code entered is correct the LED on the dash will flash very quickly for a few seconds. This confirms you are now in programming mode and the alarm is disarmed.
6. If after entering the last digit the LED does not flash quickly - start over and enter the code again.
7. If the code contains a "0" count this as 10 flashes of the LED.
These touch keys used to be sold as a F9 by a number of retailers including Ashley Electical.
