Holden RA Rodeo & RC Colorado 2 button genuine fixed blade remote key

This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This 2 button remote key is made by Isuzu for a number of Isuzu & Holden Models including:

The remote part of this key can be coded to the car using a manual procedure but the transponder chip which allows the key to start the engine can only be coded to the vehicle using specialist diagnostic equipment.

We can do this for you at our shop in East Victoria Park WA or you can use your local locksmith, mechanic or auto electrician to code the chip. This process requires a security code or pin code from the dealer.

The sticker on the back of the remote module inside the head of the key should say: TOKAI RIKACO LTD MDL G01TA

Remote coding steps: PLEASE NOTE ALL OLD REMOTES MUST BE RE-CODED ALSO AS BELOW

1. Sit in the car with all doors closed

2. Open drivers door

3. Insert original key into the ignition

4. Within 5 seconds cycle the key from OFF to ON and back to OFF 

5. Close and open the drivers door once

6. Wait 8 seconds - timing is critical

7. Cycle the key in the ignition from OFF to ON and back to OFF

8. Close the drivers door. The hazard lights will flash 3 times to indicate you are in programming mode

9. Press the lock button 5 times fairly quickly. Hazard lights will blink once to indicate the remote has been coded.

10. Repeat step 9 for next remote

11 After all fobs have been coded remove the key from the ignition

12. Open and close the drivers door and test all remotes.
