This is the remote part of the flip key only and can be programmed to your vehicle using an on-board procedure. Instructions for this on-board procedure will be included with each purchase. It is pretty simple to do and you just need a working key that can start the car to do it.

There are many versions of this style Mazda remote which all look the same on the outside but have different circuits. This one here has the part number detail printed on the area where the remote joins the flip key part.

If your remote has stopped working and you have had the battery replaced but the key still starts the car, you can simply replace the remote part.

The remote is supplied with a working battery and the type of battery is listed under Compatible items, if you need a spare one for your old remote.
