Hyundai I20 3 button flip key for models from 2008 onward OEM

This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This OEM Hyundai 3 button flip key is used with Hyundai I20 models from 2008 onward. The part number is 95430-1J000 and the key has an ID46 transponder chip. The remote transmits on the 433 MHz frequency for the Australian market.

The key blade matches the Silca HYN22 or JMA HY-18 key profile as widely used on Hyundai vehicles of this era. See photos for more information on what the key blade looks like.

If you are not certain which key you need for your vehicle, please email us a photo of the VIN sticker from the door frame of your car. An example of what the sticker looks like is shown in the photos attached. From thi we can advise what you need and which options you have from OEM or aftermarket.

This style of flip key was used on many Hyundai models but the keys can have different circuit boards inside. Even if your key looks identical it may not be same as this one here so please check your vehicle year and model is listed as being correct for this key before you place an order. 

If the button pad on your key is damaged or the key shell is broken but the remote still works and the transponder chip is still ok you can just replace either the button pad or the entire shell and use the circuit board and chip from your old key. This is a much cheaper option if that is all you need. You can choose these options under the Compatible Items section on this page.

We offer both this OEM flip key and a selection of aftermarket flip keys for this vehicle. Where this OEM flip key has a rubber button pad and is prone to cracking the aftermarket keys we offer are very strong and use plastic button pads mostly and are generally stronger and more durable. See the options under Compatible Items. In most cases you can choose from over 10 different styles of flip key including some coloured flip keys if you like.

This key will need to ce cut and coded to your vehicle. This is a pretty straight forward process if you already have a working key but if you have lost your only key this process becomes much more complicated and expensive. It is always advisable to have a spare key, evenif the key does not have the remote part as this will save you hundred of dollars if you lose your flip key.

We can do this cut & code service for you at our shop in East Victoria Park WA or you can have it done by a licensed locksmith close to where you live. The transponder chip and remote can only be coded using diagnostic equipment and so cannot by coded by the user themselves unless you have this specialist equipment.
