Land Rover Freelander 2 - 2007 - 2014 - 5 button slot key 433 MHz

This top quality aftermarket Land Rover slot key can be added as a spare to Land Rover Freelander 2 models from 2007 to 2014 which are using the same style key.

The key comes with a battery fitted and with a blank emergency key blade inside which can be used to open the car door if the remote battery becomes flat. The emergency key will need to be cut to match your original key.

This type of key uses a re-chargable battery which cannot be replace and so when the battery comes to the end of its functional life you will need to replace the entire key.

This aftermarkey key looks and works just like the original but does not featuer the Land Rover logo anywhere on it. The remote has 5 buttons for LOCK - UNLOCK - LIGHTS - BOOT - PANIC ALARM.

This type of key is called a slot key as it is placed in a slot in the dash to allow you to start the vehicle. Should the battery in the key run out you can still open the vehicle using the emergency key blade and you can start the car by placing key in the slot as normal. 

This aftermarket key has a replaceable battery unlike the OEM keys which have a rechargeable battery soldered to the PCB.

Coding a new key can easily be done if you have a key already and so losing your only key can end in a very very expensive exercise to get a new one coded to your vehicle if you no longer have a working key.

We strongly reccomend you always have a spare key for your vehicle and keep it in a secure and safe place.

Feel free to email us a photo of the details on your key if you are not certain it is correct. You can always drop into our shop and we can scan the key to identify the chip and check the frequency of the remote.

This key can only be coded to the vehicle using a diagnostic tool when at least 1 genuine key is available.

We can do this and cut the key blade at our workshop in East Victoia Park in Perth or you can have it done by your local licensed locksmith. Speak to your locksmith before ordering to ensure they are willing to program a key they did not supply.

This key features the HU101 key blade profile which is cut using a milling type key machine often referred to as a wave cut or laser cut.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
