Land Rover Discovery 4 & Range Rover Sport emergency key blade

This high quality aftermarket emergency key blade is on the Silca HU101 key profile and fits inside the smart proximity remote shown in the photos.

This style proximity remote was used with the Landrover Discover 4 and some early models of the Range Rover Sport.

The emergency key blade is fitted inside the key and when you press the key symbols on the outside of the remote the side of the remote slides out and the key blade springs out.

The emergency key blade is used to open the vehicle when the battery in the remote dies. You will see a lock symbol on the door handle of the passenger door. Under this piece of plastic is the door lock. To remove the plastic there is s small slot cut out of the bottom. Insert the key blade and gently pry up the plastic cover. it will help if you also pull gently on the door handle at the same time.

The key blade is made of an alluminium alloy to make it super light weight.
