Q-TRON 3 round button code hopping remote control

The older Q-TRon 1 button remote was used extensively with security systems and other simple applications but has now been upgraded in most cases to this 3 button code hoping or rolling code remote as it is more secure.

This remote feature a black case with 3 round button which are coloured grey - yellow - blue from top to bottom. 

It is vital that your current remote operates on 433 MHz as these are rolling code and cannot be cloned or duplicated.

This remote is generally used with the Q-Tron M-Plex or Multiplex receivers. The most common of these is the MPLEX1A receiver.

This MPLEX1A receiver comes from the factory as a dual frequency receiver that can work on 403MHz or 433 MHz. Once the first remote is coded to the receiver this sets the frequency and only remotes of the same frequency can then be coded to that receiver.

Generally in Australia this is 433 MHz. The MPLEX1A receiver can hold a total of 21 remote control codes. If you code all the buttons on this remote to the receiver that counts as 3 codes as each button counts as 1. Unless absolutely necessary just code 1 button of the remote to the receiver for each function.

The old remotes which were mostly in a maroon colour case operated on 303.9 MHz fixed code.
