This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This genuine 3 button smart proximity remote key is designed for use with Holden Captiva CG series from 2014 - 2018. It features 3 buttons with LOCK - UNLOCK & PANIC.

The key blade is sold separetly so if your old remote no longer works you can simply reuse your old emergency key. If you need a complete remote key with the emergency key blade, you will find it listed under compatible items. The part number for the emergency key blade is 95384227.

This smart proximity key will need to be coded to the vehicle using a diagnostic tool and this take approx 40 minutes all up. Please call us on (08) 6110 2693 to book an appointment at our East Victoria Park workshop if you are in WA. If you are elswhere in the country you can have this coded to your vehicle by a licensed locksmith, mechanic and some auto electricians.

We can also make an aftermarket proximity remote for this vehicle and that aftermarket remote is actually more robust and sturdy than these genuine ones. They also cost less of course. You can find the details under Compatible items.
