BMW MINI | 2015 | 2022 | F54 - F55 - F56 - F57 - F60 |
The information in the table above is intended to be used as a guide only and the most accurate method to identify which key you need is for us to scan the key for the chip and remote frequency.
The type of chassis for your vehicle will listed on the VIN sticker on the vehicle and this is usually found on the door frame.
The 2 main variants of the security systems for F chassis Mini vehicles are CAS4 or FEM and in some cases these overlap years on the same models and this is one of the reasons we only offer these keys for sale to customers at our workshop.
There are many very similar looking Mini keys for F Chassis models which have different remote coding on the PCB and so we do not offer these keys for sale online. If you are in Perth and can bring your vehicle to our workshop we will be able to make you a spare key. You should always book an appointment first.
If you live somewhere else in the country your best bet will be to google automotive locksmith and your suburb and find somebody locally who does these keys. Any good automotive locksmith will stock the full range of keys if they have the necessary equipment to do the job and work on these vehicles regularly.
Almost all Mini keys come in 4 frequencies (315 Mhz - 433.92 MHz - 434.6 MHz and 868 MHz) for different markets or different models in those markets. Here in Australia we really only see the 315 MHz, 433.92 Mhz and 434.6 MHz versions unless the vehicle was personally imported from the UK or Europe where 868 MHz is more common.
The programming of this type of key is complex and can take a number of hours depending on the vehicle model, but generally around 2 hours. This is also much more difficult if you have lost your only key and the process can then take up to 3.5 or 4 hours.
This price quoted is for programming a spare key where a working key to the vehicle is available also and the vehicle can be brought to our workshop.
If you have lost your only key and are local to us in Perth please email us with your details including - YEAR - MAKE - MODEL - CHASSIS - LOCATION OF THE VEHICLE - IS THE VEHCILE LOCKED OR UNLOCKED and we will provide an estimate of the cost of a key.
The cost of a spare key for one of these vehicles from the dealer will generally be around $910 and can take around 4-5 weeks to arrive from Germany.
We try to keep our prices as keen as possible while still offering the best quality keys and service for your pride and joy. There will no doubt be cheaper prices at other companies and you are welcome to entrust your car to them but make sure to check if they are fully licensed and insured and are using the best possible programming equipment.

These aftermarket keys do not come with a logo sticker attached but BMW logo stickers are widely available and can be attached to the black round button of the remote without much fuss.
We also replace the batteries in these keys and reccomend you only ever use high quality Japanese batteries such as Maxell of Panasonic. Cheap batteries commonly leak inside your key and this will ruin your key.
WARNING! KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Never allow children to replace button batteries on any device. Swallowing or placing a button cell battery inside any part of the body may lead to severe or fatal injuries in as little as 2 hours or less due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.
If you suspect your child has swallowed a button battery or placed inside any part of the body, immediately call the POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE on 13 11 26 for prompt advice. If your child is having any difficulty breathing, contact 000.
Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
Please see button battery safety information from the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC).
