This emergency key does not have a chip inside it like the earlier black proximity remote emergency key and is only used to open the vehicle in the even that the remote battery has failed.

To start your vehicle in this situation you will need to place the proximity remote against the start button and press the start button to start the engine. 

The key will need to be cut to match the vehicle.

To remove the emergency key blade from the remote, slide the little latch on the back of the remote to the right and it will allow the emergency blade to slide out of the remote.
