This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This key has the ID63 4D DST40 type transponder chip inside and the remote transmits on 433 MHz.

This transponder chip inside the key can only be programmed to your vehicle using specialist diagnostic equipment by a licensed professional. We are licensed to do this and can cut and program the key at our workshop in East Victoria Park WA or you can have it done locally where you live.

Please call and book an appointment for this. We will need the vehicle and all keys for approx. 45 minutes to cut and program the new key. This key is not supplied with a key blade as is standard for genuine Ford parts. You can add a keyblade to your order from under the compatible items tab.

The remote part of the key is programmed using a manual process also referred to as an onboard process. 

As this is a genuine product you will notice it features a Ford logo on the back of the key and has the part details in the sectio where the key blade folds into.
