This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This key and remote can only be programmed to your vehicle by connecting a diagnostic scan tool to the OBD port. We can cut the key blade and do this programming or you can have that done locally where you live by an automotive locksmith.

The battery in this key is recharged while in the igniton and so if you have 2 keys it is a good idea to rotate them weekly or fortnightly to ensure the battery in the spare key does not end up dead from lack of charging.
