This aftermarket flip key blade matches the Silca DAT17 & JMA SUB-2 key profile and can be used in our range of aftermarket flip key remotes. The Silca DAT17 key profile is used with a number of Subaru models from around 2003 onward.
Some vehicles that use this key blade include:
MODEL | YEAR FROM | YEAR TO |
SUBARU FORRESTER | 2008 | ONWARD |
SUBARU IMPREZA | 2007 | ONWARD |
SUBARU LIBERTY | 2003 | ONWARD |
SUBARU OUTBACK | 2003 | ONWARD |
SUBARU TRIBECA | 2006 | ONWARD |
The Silca DAT17 (JMA SUB-2) key blade profile is quite different in appearance to earlier Subaru key profiles.
The key blade is perfectly rectangular and has no grooves or raised edges on the long surfaces. The tip is slightly rounded and that is about the only noticable feature.
The key is machined using a milling type key cutting machine along the outer edges of the flat surface of both sides.
If you are not certain this key blade suits the vehicle you have, please email us some photos of your key and we will assist you to work that out.
To secure this key blade to the flip key we use a small roll pin. When we have cut the key blade it is then fitted to the flip key body. If you are buying this key blade along with a remote flip key and are going to have it cut & programmed where you live we will include a roll pin in the package with the key blade so that the locksmith who cuts the keyblade for you can secure it to the flip key.
