This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This high quality 3 button proximity key can be used with a number of different Honda cars as listed below. You must remove the emergency key blade from your key and check inside that section for the key part number.

The part number on your key must match one of these two 72147-T5A-G01 or 72147-TEX-G01.

If the part number on your key does not match this is not the correct key for your vehicle.

The key blade in the new key will need to be cut to match the existing key. This style of Honda key blade is quite complex and can be troublesome if duplicated from a worn key. For this reason we only cut Honda keyblade to a key code so that the new key is cut exactly to the factory spec even if your key is quite worn. This will generally avoid issues with keys getting stuck in the ignition where they were badly duplicated.

The proximity remote will need to be programmed to the vehicle by a licensed locksmith or mechanic using specialist diagnostic equipment. We are licensed to do this work and can do the job at our East Victoria Park workshop. Please call to book an appointment. We will need the vehicle for between 45 to 60 minutes to complete the job.
