VW Polo 2018 on 2G6 959 752 NON-OEM MQB-49 3 button flip key

This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This NON-OEM VW 3 button flip key is compatible with a number of VW cars including; Golf, Polo, Tiguan & T-Cross as long as the key being used with the vehicle now matches the details below.

In the slot where the key blade is folded into you will see the following details:

This key uses the new VAG MQB-49 5C NC921A2W transponder chip and the remote transmits on 433 Mhz

Please check the photos carefully as this key will be supplied with the equivelant to a Silca HU162 as shown in the photo. For some models, you may require the older HU66 style key blade. If your key blade looks different to that one in the photos please send us a photo of it and we will confirm which key blade profile you require. 

THIS TYPE OF KEY CAN ONLY BE PROGRAMMED USING SPECIALIST DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT CONNECTED TO THE VEHICLE. WE ARE LICENSED TO DO THIS TYPE OF WORK AND YOU CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ON (08) 6110 2693.

We generally need between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to program one of these keys to a vehicle, as the time needed to access the online server can vary depending on how many others are in the queue on the day.

Please ensure you allow enough time for this job to be completed. We have ample parking onsite if you wish to drop off your car and come back later to collect it. We are next to Oat Street train station if you wish to grab a train into the city and come back at the end of the day.
