Renault Arkana Captur Koleos Kajar & Megane 4 OEM smart key card

OEM Renault 4 button smart card or key card suits the Renault a number of models as listed below with keyless start.

This model key card can also be used with the following vehicle:

*IN SOME MODELS FITTED WITH ADVANCED SECURITY GATEWAY MODULES IT IS NECESSARY TO BYPASS THE MODULE TO PROGRAM A KEY - AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $85 APPLIES TO THESES MODELS.

These cards can only be coded to the vehicle using specialist diagnostic equipment. We can complete this service for you at our East Victoria Park workshop.

The keycard is pretty slim but has a more rounded shape to the back of the key with a raised bump in the middle of the back of the key. This area has a logo.

The emergency key is held inside the back cover of the key. To access the emergency key, you will notice a small slot in one end of the back cover. Push the back cover toward that end and the cover will open.

This smart key card features 4 buttons with symbols for LOCK - UNLOCK - LIGHTS - BOOT

You will notice some identifying numbers on the inside of your keycardincluding:

FCC ID: KR5IK4CH-01.

The keycard comes with a battery already fitted and spare batteries can be ordered from the compatible items tab. To change the battery you will need to remove the key's back cover.

These cards allow for full keyless entry to the vehicle and push button start without the key card having to be used. When the battery in the keycard runs out you have the emergency keyblade in the key which can be used to open the vehicle.

To start the vehicle when the remote battery is dead, place the bump on the back of the keycard against the start button and press the start button to start the engine. This will allow you to drive the vehicle until the battery in the key card can be replaced.

In some vehicles there is a symbol on the dash near the glove box and this is where you must hold the keycard to start the car when the key battery is flat. 

WARNING! KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Never allow children to replace button batteries on any device. Swallowing or placing a button cell battery inside any part of the body may lead to severe or fatal injuries in as little as 2 hours or less due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.

If you suspect your child has swallowed a button battery or placed inside any part of the body, immediately call the POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE on 13 11 26 for prompt advice. If your child is having any difficulty breathing, contact 000.

Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
