Mazda 2 button smart proximity remote replacement casing

This high quality 2 button Mazda proximity fob replacement casing is ideal to spruce up a tired or damaged case on your original Mazda key.

This style proximity remote was used with lots of Mazda models and while the electronics have different data on them they all fit into this shell.

When swapping over the circuit board it is vital that you are very careful to not damge the PCB inside your key. Itis also vital that when you place the PCB in the new case you look carefully at the metal battery contact in the old case and ensure they contact in the new case is sitting n the same position and the top of both small contacts is level with the other.

To swap the PCB over you will first have to remove the emergency key blade by sliding the button on the back of the remote in the direction of the arrow on it and then sliding the key out of the remote part.

Once that is out you will need to seperate the 3 sections of the case carefully. There are lots of helpful videos on YouTube showing how best to do this.

You can try the original emergency key blade with the new case but as this is an aftermarket case the genuine emergency key blade may not fit perfectly and so you may need to get the emergency key that comes with the case cut to match your original.

Please note we do charge a fee of $50 to swap over the case, test the battery etc and this is only offered at our workshop in East Victoria Park, WA 6101.

If you do not live close by you can swap over the remote yourself and have the key blade cut at your local locksmith or key cutting kiosk. 

While the battery is out of the battery holder, you can test to see it has 3 volts using a multi-meter if you have one.

It is always wise to use a reputable key cutting shop to ensure your key is cut accurately as even the smallest variance in the dimensions can prevent the key from working correctly. We calibrate our key machine regularly to ensure it is working to the most accurate level possible.
