Suzuki Vitara LY 2015 onward 2 button remote key alternative 3 button flip key

This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

This stylish top quality 3 button flip key can be programmed to Suzuki Vitara LY series models from 2015 onward which have the black plastic headed 2 button remote key shown in the photos.

THERE ARE OTHER SUZUKI REMOTES WITH THE PART NUMBER T68L0 ON THE BACK WHICH HAVE A DIFFERENT TRANSPONDER TYPE AND SO ARE NOT THE SAME AS THIS ONE. IF IN DOUBT CONTACT US BEFORE ORDERING.

The key will be precoded to suit this vehicle and must be programmed to the car using a diagnostic scan tool. We can do this for you at our East Victoria Park workshop in WA or you can use a licensed locksmith where you live.

This type of key has an integrated ID47 transponder chip on the circuit board and when this is programmed the car the remote part is also programmed at the same time.

These flip keys are very good quality and tend to be much stronger than the original plastic headed remote keys that come with the vehicle. The key blade on this flip key folds away and so it does not dig into your leg when the key is in your pocket.

THE BOOT BUTTON WILL HAVE NO FUNCTION ON THIS FLIP KEY AS THE ORIGINAL KEY DID NOT HAVE THIS FUNCTION EITHER.

The first photo shows a direct size comparrison between the 2 types of key so you can get an idea of the size of the flip key.

The flip key is supplied with a battery fitted and a key blade and roll pin. The key blade will need to be cut to match the vehicle and then it will need to be fitted to the flip key body using the roll pin supplied with it. Any locksmith will be able to do this for you if you have having it done locally where you live.

There is a recess on the back of the flip key where you can place a 14mm logo sticker if you wish but please note it is not supplied with one.
