Audi 8P0837220D compatible 3 button remote flip key with an separate ID 48 transponder chip and a 434 MHz remote control.

THIS TYPE OF KEY YOU MUST USE IN THE IGNITION - THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE KEYLESS GO VERSION

This remote flip key suits the following models as long as your original key has the part number 8P0837220D and the car does not have push button start.

AUDI A3 2004 - 2013

AUDI TT 2007 - 2014

As this is an aftermarket flip key the details printed on the shell will not match the details on a genuine key and should be ignored. The photos show the circuit board that comes inside this key. We will pre-code this circuit board to suit the keyed ignition version of these vehicles where the remote and transponder are separate. Keyed ignition means the key must be placed in the ignition and turned to start the car.

The other version of this key is KEYLESS GO and only suits models with push button start. 

This type of glass ID48 transponder can be cloned and so it is important to speak to us or whoevery you plan to get to program the key for you to decide which type of transponder you need in the key. By default we will place a blank ID48 chip in the key.

We can program the new key to your car in our East Victoria Park workshop of you can have it cut and programmed by an automtive locksmith where you live. Please check with your local locksmith first, as many locksmiths will not program a key they have not supplied.

Please take care when opening the back of your remote to replace the battery as there is a small plastic tab on the back cover which is very easily broken and so we advise you check out YouTube for instructions on how to safely open the back of the key and not damage this tab.

If the case of your original flip key is damaged but the remote works and the key still starts the car, you just need to replace the other casing, you can find this listed under Compatible Items.

Programming a spare key when there is a working key is far easier than trying to add a key when you have lost your only working key and so we strongly advise all customers to make sure they have a spare key for their vehicles.

WARNING! KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Never allow children to replace button batteries on any device. Dispose of used button/coin batteries immediately and safely. A battery can still be dangerous even when it can no longer operate the device. Place sticky tape around both sides of the battery and dispose of it immediately out of reach of children in an outside bin or recycle safely.
