This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

It is important to note that this key uses a ID46 (HITAG2) transponder and there is another Peugeot smart proximity remote that looks identical on the outside but uses an ID4A (HITAG-AES) transponder chip.

They are not interchangeable and so it is vital you correctly identify your key before placing an order.

If you are not sure which part you require you can always ask your local Peugeot Dealer for a quote and forward the part number from that to us. 

Programming of this proximity remote can only be done using very specific diagnostic equipment by a licensed locksmith or mechanic or at the dealer. We can do this for you at our East Victoria Park workshop or you can have it done locally where you live.
