Inside most modern car keys are 2 important elements, the central locking remote and a transponder chip which holds the information for the immobiliser. This transponder chip can either be a separate item or part of the circuit board. In the case of this key, the transponder is seperate to the remote circuit board. Your original transponder can either be cloned or a new pre-coded transponder can be used and programmed to the car using a scan tool.

Generally when the transponder chip is separate to the remote circuit board the 2 items are coded to the car in 2 stages. Depending on the make and model of vehicle the remote may be programmed to the vehicle using a manual process or it may need to be diagnostically programmed.

To be certain you get the correct key it is always best if you bring in the original so we can check it against what is in the database for the year and model of vehicle. If this is not possible please email us with the VIN.

The price quoted here is for the remote flip key ONLY and the key blade and any programming required will be charged separately.
