Chrysler Dodge & Jeep compatible proximity remote emergency key blade

Proximity remotes can also be called smart remote keys. This emergency key blade fit into the end of the proximity remote and is released using the little slide button on the back of your proximity remote.

The emergency key is only used if the battery in the proximity remote fails and so you need to open the door manually.

This key profile is very commmon and used in the vast majority of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeepo proximity remotes but it is a good idea to check that your existing key blade looks the same.

As long as your key matches the photos and uses the same key profile you can use this product. Key profile means the shape and position of the grooves or slots in the metal key blade.

The correct profile is essential for a key to slide into a lock correctly, as an example, the groove along the centre of this key locates the key blade in the centre of the key barrel.

This key blade will need to be cut to match your existing key. We can do this for you or you can have it done locally where you live.

You will notice that this aftermarket emergency key blade does not have a loop or hole in it to attach a key ring as some of the genuine emergency keys do.
