King Gates Freddy2 stand alone 433 Mhz 2 channel receiver

This King Gates Freddy2 receiver has 2 channels and so can control up to 2 devices.

The Freddy2 is compatible with King Gates rolling code Stylo remote controls. So if you already have a gate that uses a King Gates Stylo 4K remote and you don't use all the buttons on that remote you can add this receiver to your garage door motor and then use the spare buttons of your gate remote to control your garage door so you only need 1 remote on your key ring.

It can operate between 12 V to 24 V. These receiver units can be wired using standard 4 core security cable available from most electrical or hobby shops such as Jaycar or Alltronics. We are happy to provide cable for connecting this unit also and it can be ordered from the compatible items tab in 30 cm increments. 

An installation manual is included in the packaging.

As this receiver is 2 channel it can operate 2 garage doors so if you have side by side or front and back garage doors you may be able to just use 1 receiver as long as you can run longer wires from the receiver to the garage door control board.

The new Freddy 2 receiver can operate in Monstable, bistable or timer operating logic.

It is possible to select the contact type (N.A. or N.C.) of the relay 1 through a dedicated Jumper J1.

The contact of relay 2 is of N.A. type and to have a N.C. type contact on that relay would need to make changes to the PCB.

It is possible to store up to 504 codes with self learning mode

If the receiver blinks 15 times when trying to program remotes this indicated "Memory Full".

Relay Contacts:

The contacts of the terminal board concerning the 2 relays are normally open N.O. type. For a normally closed (N.C.) contact of relay 1, move jumper J1 to position 2 (see instruction manual Fig 1)

For a normally closed contact (N.C.) of relay 2, short circuit point A with point B and cut track at point C (see instruction manual Fig. 2) of the relay converned.

Programming type:

Monstable: it activates the corresponding relay through the time the TX transmission. When the transmission stops, the relay goes automatically off.

Bistable: it activates the corresponding relay on the first TX transmission. The relay goes off on the next transmission.

Timer: the TX transmission activates the corresponding relay which goes off after the set time (max 7.5 minutes)

In some cases we can provide wiring diagrams to help with connecting this to your garage motor. Just let us know the make and model of motor you plan to connect it to and we will do our best to provide a diagram or instructions on where to find the auxiliary connectors on the garage motor. 

This receiver unit need constant power and in the case of most overhead sectional door motors you can draw power from the motor no problem as they usually have AUX outputs for this. But in the case of some garage motors particularly roller door motors you may need an external power supply to connect the power as there may not be any aux output points on the motor.
