Toyota Japanese Import heavy duty key shell with 1 button on side of shell

The super heavy duty key shell does not have a screw to retain the back cover and instead has a heady section moulded around the key blade to add strength. The back cover on this key shell clicks into place using a tab on the cover.

The genuine Toyota single button keys shells are notoriously bad for breaking where the screw goes into the key blade. With its superior design and use of a stronger plastic this key shell will not break like those flimsy genuine shells.

Single button remotes are used on a long list of Japanese Toyota models, which have become very popular as imports to Australia over the last feww years.

This shell can be used to replace the broken shell on your key as long as the remote is still working correctly on your old key.

If your original key shell is damage you don't need to replace your entire remote key. This replacement 1 button remote key shell will allow you to swap over the remote module and transponder chip from your broken key to a new case and once the blade it cut to match you will essentially have a new key.

If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the remote module into the new shell and you are up and running.

There are lots of cheap key shells on the market and we have tested lots of other brands but this key shell is definitely the best quality replacement we have tested. The machining of the key blade is very exact and so the key works well once it is cut correctly. A variance of even as little as 0.01mm can make a huge difference to how well a key works and so it is vital to get your key cut at a reputable key cutter who regularly calibrates their key machine.

This key shell does not have a logo embossed into the back cover of the case, as it is an aftermarket part.
