MG HS & ZS smart remote emergency key blade 10469272

This OEM emergency key blade fits inside the genuine smart remotes used with a number of MG models including the HS & ZS.

On the side of the key near the key ring loop, is a little chrome botton. Pressing this button releases the key ring loop which can be hinged out away from the body of the smart remote. Inside you will see this small emergency key blade is fitted.

This key blade will need to be copied from your old key blade to work with the vehicle.

We can do this at our workshop  as long as you have a working key blade. If you have no key blade then the door lock will need to be de-coded to generate a key code to cut to as MG do not store these codes.

This emergency key blade will allow you to open the vehicle when the battery in your smart remote is flat. You can then place your smart remote in the front cup holder with the buttons facing upwards and press the start button on your dash to start the car. This procedure will also be detailed in the vehicle owners manual.
