This transponder key shell is ideal if your old remote key is broken and you just want to use the transponder chip from it in a non remote key.

The most important thing to check is the shape of the key blade on your existing key.
If you see the images attached they will show you what this key profile looks like uncut.
This HU58P or BM5 key is milled along the outer edges of the key blade.
Some of the models that used this key type are listed below. This is intended as a reference only and you should check the photos carefully to ensure you select the correct key shell for your key type.

Why replace your entire remote key just because the case or shell has broken away from the key blade. Here we offer you a top quality replacement BMW transponder key shell.
Some models like the early Z3 did not come with a remote key and only had a transponder key like this one. If your old key is worn or broken you cna swap the chip into this shell and have the blade cut and you are back up and running.
If you want a spare key with anew transponder chip we can do that for you also, but we will need the car here are the workshop to program the new chip. You can see the cost of the programming listed under compatible items.
You will notice this key shell does have the BMW logo, but please note it is a non genuine part.

If you do not live close by you can of course order this key shell and take it to your local key cutting shop and have them cut the blade to match your existing key. Then you can swap the transponder chip into the new shell and you are up and running.
It is very important to take great care when opening the shell of your original key to make sure not to damage the circuit board or lose the transponder ship from inside the shell. It is a very good idea to use some contact cement to secure the chip in the new shell and to secure the front and back sections of the shell together.
Do not use super glue.

This service is to cut the key blade and program the transpoder chip and remote to a BMW or Mini EWS 3 & 4 immobiliser system. The cost of the key is extra.
