Toyota Crown Majesta & Mark-X 3 button 89904-22020 proximty slot key

This genuine Toyota slot key is suited to a number of Toyota models as shown below.

There are no part stickers on the inside of this key, which is unusual as the similar looking Prius slot keys all have a sticker ot indicate which specific key is needed. While these look similar they are not compatilbe with the keys used on Prius models.

Importantly this key uses a different emergency key blade and the data loaded on the chip is also specific to this key.

While this older Toyota Crown series use a "Proximity Slot" type key. This should not be confused with the later proximity systems which do not have a slot in the dash. A slot key behaves exactly like a regular transponder key, with the exception that instead of switching a mechanical key on, the slot key is inserted into the slot in the dash and a "Start" or "Power" button is pressed to turn the vehicle on.

If your Crown Majesta or Mark X model has a little button on the door handle that you can press to Lock & Unlock the vehicle, then it is fitted with this upgraded Proximity Slotkey System. If your vehicle has no slot in the dash then this key will not suit your vehicle.
