Merlin M-802 big blue button garage door remote control

Compatible with Merlin openers fitted between 1994 and 2001 using the fixed code technology including:

MERLIN PROLIFT M230T

MERLIFT PROLIFT 430R 

MERLIN POWERLIFT 2600P

It can also be used with gate openers fitted with M-500, M-501 and M-502 receiver cards.

Having a larger button such as the M802 can be a real benefit when used in a vehicle as it is much easier to hit the button being so large. This older technology using 40 MHz means there is much less interference on this frequency and so it often delivers a better response and better range.

There are some drawbacks of course to the large remote and this is why we also sell the M802 small which can be attached to your keys as it is much smaller. The transmitter in this older type remote as you will see in the photo using a copper coil wrapped around a large magnet. You must take care to not drop these remotes as any damage to the magnet will stop the remote from transmitting correctly.

It is easy to program this remote, simply copy the pattern of the 12 dip switches  on the new remote to the pattern of the switches in your old working remote and you are up and running.

If you do not have a remote you can also find the dip switches on the motor and so you can copy this pattern to your remote. Also if you lose or have a remote stolen, you can change the dip switches on both the motor and remotes to a new matching sequence and the lost or stolen remote will no longer work with your motor, preventing it from being used to get into your home.
