Ford Falcon AU2 & AU3 4 button genuine remote control

This product has been temporarily removed from sale as direct result of the Consumer Goods (Products Containing Button/Coin Batteries) Safety Standard 2020 which becomes enforceable on 22nd June 2022 and carries fines of up to $1million. 

All products that contain a button cell or coin type battery must be safety tested to confirm they comply with these new regulations. All button cell batteries must be in a new type of packaging with new labels. 

We are working with all of our suppliers to confirm this compliance before we make the product available for sale again. 

We should have had 18 months to get this compliance but sadly the ACCC did not inform our suppliers or us or pretty much any other industry and we only found out about this new law 4 weeks ago.

Many of our separate remotes fobs such as this one here can be programmed to your vehicle yourself and we provide instruction on how to do this with all such remotes. The instructions will usually have pictures of which buttons to press in the car or very specific instructions on what you need. In almost all cases this takes less than 5 minutes to complete and some such as the Ford remotes can take as little as 2 minutes to program to your car.

If you have any issues during programming please call us and we will talk you through it. If you are not confident about programming the remote yourself just select the Click & Collect delivery option and then bring your car to our shop during business hours and we will program the remote for you.

Where you wish to integrate your remote and key into a flip key this will need to be done at our shop as we do not have a mobile key cutting service.

We have seen sellers online selling remotes with the Ford logo claiming that they are genuine but when you open them is is obvious they are not. Take a look at our photos showing what to look for inside the remote to confirm it is a genuine Ford part. You will notice the genuine one has a unique battery cradle. We have yet to see this in an aftermarket remote and so you will see the difference straight away. Please take care when changing the battery in your remote as we see many of these where the battery cradle is no loner soldered to the circuit board as somebody has tried to force the battery to get it out. This remote can of course be used to replace the 3 button version which was used with utes which just featured the lock, unlock and panic button. In these instances the boot release button on this remote will not work as the vehicle will not have the necessary wiring for it.
